The Koala

I release myself from codependency.
After hanging on to my mother for about a year, I gain my autonomy by claiming my own territory. I find my own trees and will only join another in his or her trees to mate. I’m either here to support you in claiming your own independence or to point out that someone else in your life is relying too much on your support. In either case, both of you could benefit from healing the codependent relationship and turning it into a healthier model of relating that better serves and empowers you both.
I am mindful with my empathic nature.
My natural vibration relaxes people and helps them to trust that everything will be ok. If I show up in your life, you likely have a similar nature. While it is a precious gift to support others, you also want to make sure that it does not turn into a curse that harms you. Your vibration likely naturally attracts anxious beings seeking reassurance and calm. Most of them are unaware that they are feeding themselves off of your energy by sticking to your reassuring presence. It is, therefore, up to you to protect your energy by observing your moods and noticing when you experience low moments or low emotions. If you feel heaviness, ask yourself if it truly belongs to you or if you are simply carrying someone else’s weight or lack of energy.
I make choices that allow me to thrive.
I need specific environmental conditions to thrive such as access to Eucalyptus trees (the one food I eat), a sufficient amount of rain water, rich soil, and fellow Koalas to mate with. Without this supportive environment, I easily become susceptible to illness and can struggle to reproduce. While you can likely survive almost anywhere, you too have a particular environment and a particular community in which you will thrive more than others. It is easy to get lost in the many options and opportunities available to you, but I am here to remind you to tap into your intuition and into your heart and to let them guide you towards what’s truly best for you.
