The Marmot

I welcome new beginnings.

In many cultures, I announce the beginning of spring, when Earth and nature are coming back to full life.

Here, I come bearing good news of an impending new and happy turn in your life.

But in order to be able to welcome the opportunities coming your way, you must first let go of the past and of any projections you may have about how things should be.

Trust that life is happening for you and not to you and let the universe surprise you.

I am in tune with the life cycles.

Like most animals, my life is governed by nature’s cycles and seasons.

In winter I hide from sight, regenerate, gather my strength, and rest. In the spring, I plant the seeds for my future while enjoying life. In the summer, I grow and nurture what I started earlier in the year. And in the autumn, I prepare to let go of my creations—and my cubs—and ready my body for the subsequent winter integration to come.

Like me, you have natural cycles that support your life balance, and when you learn to respect them and to find the rewards in every step of the creation process of your life (rather than fighting against the season you are in), you’ll be able to experience life with more ease and flow.

I have many paths that lead me home.

When building my nest, I dig many tunnels in different directions so that no matter what obstacles I encounter, I can always find my way back home.

Your soul also paved many roads to bring you back home.

Therefore, you can let go of any self-judgment or guilt you may feel for making what you may think was a “wrong choice.”

Your path was the one you needed in order to learn valuable tools and skills that are serving you today and will continue to do so in the future.

Forgive yourself, and trust that you are on your way home.
